Usage of Navigation tool , Timeliner and Clash Detection test using Naviswork

    1 ANSWER:

    AIM:The purpose is to export Revit architectural and structural  model to Navis works .

    PROCEDURE:

    • Open architechtural file that has to be exported
    • Click on file option 
    • Then select NWC,from the options appeared 
    • Now select the destination folder where the file has to be saved and rename it  and click on save
    • In the same way repeat the process for structural file linked with this architectural file and export the structural file also

    RESULT : Archichiture and structural files are exported to Navis works

    2 ANSWER:

    AIM:The purpose is to walk through the rooms of the model

    PROCEDURE:

    • Open Navis works manage and click On N option on the top left corner as shown
    • Now click on open and and the select the architecture file that was exported earlier
    • Then to walkthrough through the model click on walk option and use  mouse to go to every room
    • Now to record the view click on viewpoint and click on record as shown
    • Then go through the view and click on stop on the top right bar
    • And save the view with an appropriate name
    • Now to see the recorded view go to animation tab and click on play button to see the created animation as shown
    • To save the video to system click on export animation 
    • Change the required settings and click on ok

    RESULT:Hence we walked through the model and recorded the view

    3 ANSWER:

    AIM:The purpose is to use navigate tool to use realism feature to walk through our model

    PROCEDURE:

    • Open the navis works file and click on realism feature
    • Click on third person
    • Now use the cursor to move around the rooms as shown
    • Now to record the views ,repeat the same process as done in earlier question i.e click on view point record

    RESULT:Hence we walked through the model using realism option

    4 ANSWER

    AIM:The purpose is to run the clash detective test between architectural and structural model

    PROCEDURE:

    • Open a nwc architecture file which was exported using revit
    • Now go to home and click on append as shown
    • Then add the structural one and click on open
    • Now under home click on clash detective option
    • From the pop up appeared on the screen click on run test and add the architecture and structural file
    • then rename the test name
    • Now click on run test
    • Now clashes will be found
    • Now to study the clashes click on each one of them below in the list ,the clashes are appeared in red and green colour from the model
    • If in case a clash is resolved then set it to approved

    RESULT:Hence,the clash test was run for the model and the clashes are resolved and approved

    5  ANSWER :

    AIM:The purpose is to use the timeliner option and prepare a scheduler for the project 

    PROCEDURE:

    • Open the architectural nws file 
    • Under home tab click on Time liner option
    • Click on selection tree and from that select the required items
    • Now click on add task ,rename it as ground floor case work
    • Then set the planned and actual  start and end dates and type as construction
    • Now click on selection tree select case work
    • Now select on task 1 click on attach and click on current selection(case work) as shown
    • Similarly add all the tasks in order with start dates and end dates 
    • Now To watch the simulation video click on simulate and click on play option
    • The entire time line video can be seen above
    • Now to export the time liner video to system click on export animation and set the source to timer liner simulation and adjust the settings  and click on ok

    RESULT:Hence the timeliner feature is useed and a schedule is prepared and finally saved.
