REPORT ON BENCHMARKING
Objective
To be able to recommend an appropriate car for Mr.D.S. Pughazhyendhii considering all his requirements, budget and likes, by benchmarking the latest cars available in the market under his budget.
Case:
Mr. D.S. Pughazhyendhii is a married man who lives in Bangalore which is a highly crowded city. His Family comprises five members including his wife, five-year-old boy, his father, and his mother. He visits his native place Madurai which is 500kms away from Bangalore once in a month. Also, he will be using his car to commute to his office. His budget falls between 8 to 10 lakhs on road. Please suggest to him with options so that he will buy a good car for his family.
Note: Pughazhyendhii is fond of big cars
What is Benchmarking?
Benchmarking is defined as the process of measuring products, services, and processes against those of organizations known to be leaders in one or more aspects of their operations. Benchmarking provides necessary insights to help us understand how an organization compares with similar organizations, even if they are in a different business or have a different group of customers.
Comparision of cars
I shortlisten 5 cars that fell under the said requirements
The specifications and pros and cons of each car is listed below
Among these 5 cars the one which according to me, best suits Mr.Pughazhyendhii is the Tata Nexon
I have mentioned below the specifications/features of the vehicle which makes it stand out from the others
- Electronic Traction Control
- Roll- over Mitigation
- Emergency Brake assist
- Hill Hold Control
- Electronic Brake Pre-fill
- Brake Disc Wiping
Conslusion
Thus, I would conclude the report by suggesting Mr.Pughazhyendhii the TATA Nexon mainly because of the amazing safety feature it provides and also the vast list of added features in it making the car worth its price. Along with its features, the car is comparetively compact and is perfect for the everyday use in a busy city like Bangalore and also for the long drives to others cities as well, with its storage coming as an added advantage.
